The next installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Secret Invasion, is set to premiere on Disney+ in two weeks. The limited series is centered on Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, who realizes the shapeshifting Skrulls are waging a clandestine attack against Earth. The trailer paints the show as a thriller-esque endeavor, and—thanks to something cooked up by Marvel Studios’ marketing team—we now can watch the first five minutes of the series if we do some sleuthing of our own.
If you head to the website theinvasionhasbegun.com, you’ll see a request for a passcode to see a super-secret encrypted file. Apparently, the passcode has been tweeted out in increments from the official Secret Invasion Twitter account. Those tweets have been subsequently deleted, but we got you: the code is RSD3PX5N7S.
Once you put those numbers and letters into the website, you get to watch the first five minutes of the show (well four minutes and 30 seconds, since the last 30 seconds is TV promo spot). I won’t get too spoilery here (go watch for yourself if you want the details!), but it looks like the Skrull conspiracy is one that no one seems to believe…at least at first.
Here’s the show’s official synopsis:
In Marvel Studios’ new series Secret Invasion, set in the present day MCU, Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity.
Marvel’s Secret Invasion starts streaming on Disney+ on June 21, 2023, with additional episodes dropping on Wednesdays.
